Lecture 3: How to fix the extra spacing between paragraphs in MS Word 2007

I have seen some D2L issues with regard to all text on a given page loading properly. I suggest that you immediately use your F5 key and refresh this page now, and each subsequent time you view it.

To format your assignment properly, and thereby avoid lower grades, you must do the following:

1.    Right click anywhere in a blank document.

2.    Choose “Paragraph.”

3.    Locate “Spacing” and change the “Before” and “After” settings to “0 pt”

4.    Change the “Line spacing” to double.

5.    Click the “Default” button at the bottom of the splash box.

6.    You will be asked if you wish to change the default settings. Click “Yes.”

7.    Right click a second time in the blank document.

8.    Choose “Font.”

9.    Change the font to Times New Roman, and the size to 12 pt.

10. Click the “Default” button at the bottom of the splash box.

11. You will be asked if you wish to change the default settings. Click “Yes.”

12. With these settings you will no longer have formatting problems.
