Lecture 2A: How to fix the extra spacing between paragraphs in MS Word 2007

 

To format your assignment properly, and thereby avoid lower grades, you must do the following:

 

1.      Right click anywhere in a blank document.

2.      Choose �Paragraph.�

3.      Locate �Spacing� and change the �Before� and �After� settings to �0 pt�

4.      Change the �Line spacing� to double.

5.      Click the �Default� button at the bottom of the splash box.

6.      You will be asked if you wish to change the default settings. Click �Yes.�

7.      Right click a second time in the blank document.

8.      Choose �Font.�

9.      Change the font to Times New Roman, and the size to 12 pt.

10.  Click the �Default� button at the bottom of the splash box.

11.  You will be asked if you wish to change the default settings. Click �Yes.�

12.  With these settings you will no longer have formatting problems.
