How to set up an account with TurnItIn.com

 

  1. TurnItIn.com submissions are due ten minutes before the scheduled start time of class, after which it is late, and will incur a late penalty, as per the course syllabus.
  2. Click the following link, and the page will open in a new window: http://www.turnitin.com
  3. Click on the “New Users” link in the upper right hand corner of the TurnItIn homepage.
  4. In the drop down box that reads “select user type…” choose “student.”
  5. Click “Next”
  6. Fill in the boxes with the requested information: TurnItIn Class ID, and the TurnItIn Class enrollment password, both of which will be given out during class. If you missed this information, just ask me.
  7. The password is case sensitive, and must be entered in all lower case letters.
  8. From this point on just follow the instructions on screen.

 

 

 

Here are the assignments that require TurnItIn.com submissions:

 

·         The five major projects, which include the following: Personal Response Essay, Connections Essay, Annotated Bibliography, Bibliographic Analysis Essay, Argumentative Research Paper.

 

·         The minor assignments, which include the following: all Personal Writing Papers; all Academic Prose Papers.
